I think they do it because they think they don’t understand them. Like when I talk to my mom or dad and I tell them they get mad at me. It really was not like that when they were my age. It might also be because you think they just want to get you into trouble. I would always fight with my mom because she would never let me use the phone because I was on house arrest. Yes I would always argue with my mom and dad before I came into custody but now I know that they were just trying to help me out. So I wouldn’t get into trouble. I should of just not argued with them and they would of help me, but I always thought they were wrong and I was right. Now it’s kind of to late to get along with them.

I'm kinda in the same situation so i know where you're coming from, it does always seem like they're being unfair doesnt it? But even if you dont have a good relationship with them, they still want what's best for you.

You make some very valid points as to why kids argue with their parents. I sometimes feel the same way. Sorry you don't get along with them very well anymore maybe time will heal the relationship. At least your able to realize and learn from your mistakes. Keep writing!
